About This Course
This CLE course examines the intersection of firefighting duties and Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. Participants will explore the legal authority permitting firefighters and other emergency responders to enter private property during emergencies, as well as the constitutional limits governing those actions. The program will address key case law, privacy considerations, and common misconceptions surrounding emergency response activities, providing attorneys with a practical understanding of how courts balance public safety interests with individual privacy rights.
