About This Course
Effective family law representation requires attorneys to navigate both the legal issues of a case and the emotional challenges clients may face throughout the process. This CLE program explores techniques for communicating with clients in distress, understanding the motivations behind their decisions, and keeping the case focused on their legal objectives.
The discussion also covers strategies for obtaining complete and timely client disclosures, preparing clients for each phase of litigation, avoiding common pitfalls driven by emotion, and establishing clear boundaries between attorney and staff communications. These practices are examined in the context of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar and Florida family law procedure.
