About This Course
The False Claims Act has direct applications to cybersecurity violations. The recent Executive Order, as well as statements such as that of Department of Justice Assistant Attorney General John C. Demers who stated that “[t]he Department will continue to confront malicious nation state cyber activity with our unique tools and work with our fellow agencies and the family of norms abiding nations to do the same,” and that of another attorney who stated that “cybersecurity related fraud may be another area where we could see enhanced False Claims Act activity” makes this informative CLE course particularly timely.
The course will address the specifics of the False Claims Act and key elements you need to know before bringing a case as well as basics of cybersecurity, specific cases and areas to watch. The course will specify the intersection between cybersecurity and the False Claims Act, terms and standards that are often misunderstood and relevant case law.
