    Criminal defense clients provide particular challenges for attorneys. How to humanize them, mitigate incriminating information and help negotiate and advocate for clients requires specific knowledge and skill.

    This CLE course will explain how mitigating factors and information presented at court can impact sentencing and the various strategies that can be used throughout the trial and sentencing phases.

    David Bruno

    David J. Bruno is a partner at The Bianchi Law Group (https://bianchilawgroup.com/), Former Assistant Prosecutor, and National TV Legal Analyst. David is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney, one of only approximately 250 out of the more than 98,000 attorneys in New Jersey.

    He earned his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School, graduating Cum Laude, and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Finance from Seton Hall University. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the United States District Court of New Jersey Bar, the Morris County Bar Association, New Jersey Association of Justice and the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey. He also is a graduate of the New Jersey Attorney General’s Top Gun Narcotics Training and New Jersey State Police’s Homicide Investigation Training.

    David has instructed for the New Jersey Bar Association, National Academy of Continuing Legal Education, the National Business Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and the New Jersey Association of Justice.
