    This seminar will examine and discuss the various factors which must be considered when evaluating or handling a motor vehicle accident claim. We will review the applicable Pennsylvania insurance statute and discuss a variety of practical considerations which should be evaluated when considering whether to take on a claim. We will also address common issues which arise in most motor vehicle accident cases and discuss how best to anticipate and address these issues. Topics To Be Addressed: • The PA Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Law (MVFRL), 75 Pa.CS.A. §§ 1701 et seq.); • Initial Client Interview and Investigation of Facts; • What To do After You Accept the Case (How to "work up" the case); and • What Happens If the Case Doesn't Settle (A Review of the Litigation Process).

    Howard Murphy

    Howard F. Murphy is a Shareholder in the Litigation Practice Group of Feldstein Grinberg Lang & McKee. Mr. Murphy received his B.A. degree, suma cum laude, in 1994 and he received his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, in 1998 both from the University of Pittsburgh. As an undergraduate, he was appointed to the Dean's List on numerous occasions in recognition of his outstanding academic achievement. While in law school, Howard was in the top ten percent of his class and, as a result, was invited to become a member of Law Review and, upon graduation, the Order of the Coif. Howard was also awarded the Dean's Scholarship and CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Contracts. Howard's primary practice area is Plaintiff Personal Injury. He has handled many Auto Accident Cases to conclusion.


    Erin Santorella

    Erin Santorella is an Associate Attorney in the Litigation Practice Group of Feldstein Grinberg Lang & McKee. Ms. Santorella earned her Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University in 2010. During law school, she worked as a law clerk at the Law Office of Howard F. Murphy. At that time, Erin gained practical experience in personal injury litigation. After graduation, Erin continued to handle personal injury and auto accident claims as an Associate Attorney at the Law Office of Howard F. Murphy and continues to do so at her current position.
