Accreditation and CLE Rules for Georgia
*Notice from GA Board on Continuing Legal Education: The Supreme Court of Georgia has temporarily suspended the rule limiting the number of self-study/distance learning courses GA attorneys are allowed to take. Attorneys may now take All 12 CLE Credits with our Online & iOS/Android App courses during this temporary exception period through 5/31/2021. GA Supreme Court Notice
United Institute for Continuing Legal Education offers CLE courses accredited in many states throughout the country. Up to 6 CLE hours may be earned by an attorney in a calendar year with United Institute for Continuing Legal Education using our in-house programs including 1 hour of ethics and 1 hour of professionalism.
Up to 6 hours of in-house credit may be carried forward for the next calendar year or carried back to the previous year.
Accepted CLE Formats: Audio, Video and Online programs count as in-house credits.
GA attorneys must take all the required hours before the December 31 deadline. If the hours are incomplete on December 31, you can make them up during the grace period, which expires on March 31. This saves the $100 late CLE fee. If you miss the March 31 deadline, pay the $100 late fee which extends the deadline to June 30. After June 30 an additional $150 in fees are due for a total of $250 for late completion of your CLE requirement
*For purchases on or after 1/1/2020: We will report your attendance & pay reporting fees to the Georgia Commission on Continuing Lawyer Competency.
*For purchases made on or before 12/31/2019: After completing your course(s) you must report your CLE compliance to the State Bar of Georgia. United CLE does NOT report your attendance to the State Bar of Georgia.
