Stephen R. Maitland, Esq.
Stephen R. Maitland grew up in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. He is a 1980 graduate of Gettysburg Senior High School, 1991 graduate of Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD with a B.A. in Political Science (Summa cum Laude), and a 2006 graduate of Widener Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, PA.
Stephen was elected to the PA House of Representatives from the 91st Legislative District in 1992, where he went on to serve 7 two-year terms. He chaired the Crime & Corrections sub-committee of the House Judiciary Committee, and had lengthy assignments to the Agricultural & Rural Affairs Committee, Health & Human Services Committee, Aging & Older Adult Services Committee, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, the Advisory Committee on Probation, the Interstate Compact on Adult Offender Supervision, and the Interstate Compact on the Susquehanna River Basin Commission.
Stephen moved to suburban Atlanta in 2012 where he focused on business. He taught Business Law at the University of Phoenix, served as a business consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, and practiced business law, including debt collection, insurance subrogation and creditors’ rights.
Stephen is now a financial services representative with The Piedmont Group of MassMutual, where he helps individuals, families and businesses guard against insurable risks, invest for the future, and pass on their legacy to the next generation.
Stephen is married to his lovely wife Melinda, and has three adult daughters all in the Atlanta area.
