Malcolm S. Taub, Esq.
Malcolm S. Taub is the Co-Chair of our firm’s Divorce & Family Law group. He has over 37 years experience practicing law and handling high profile cases.
Mr. Taub holds a B.A. degree from Brooklyn College and a J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School. He has acted as an adjunct professor at Long Island University, Manhattan Marymount College and New York University Real Estate Institute where he taught the course in "Syndication for Real Estate Professionals."
Mr. Taub has handled high profile divorce and family law matters, specializing in divorce, equitable distribution and child custody issues. Mr. Taub has lectured on the issue of pre-nuptial agreements, as well as other Family Law issues, for various CLE programs.
In addition, Mr. Taub maintains a very active practice in the area of Art Law. He is presently a contributing editor to the Lexis-Nexis Volume relating to Art Law. He has lectured extensively in the area of major art transactions and has also taught a similar CLE program. He has structured art transactions involving tens of millions of dollars. Mr. Taub was featured as a guest lecturer at the Chelsea Art Museum as part of the 2007 Winter-Spring Lectures for Collectors: "Legal Issues Relating to the Purchase and Sale of Art."
Mr. Taub is active in complex litigations in both State and Federal courts.
Mr. Taub appeared as a divorce expert in the December 2004 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, has been profiled in Divorce Magazine, and has appeared twice on the Late Show with David Letterman, as well as on a CNN affiliate. Mr. Taub is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Taub has been involved with the ownership, operation and syndication of real estate in New York City. He has been involved in every aspect of such transactions, including financings, leasing and the structuring of such syndications. He has acted as a consultant to the New York Stock Exchange in its Market Surveillance Department and has presented seminars and training sessions regarding methods of improving market surveillance techniques for the NYSE.
Mr. Taub is presently on the Board of Trustees of The Gateway Schools of New York and The Devereaux/Glenholme School in Washington, Connecticut. These are specialized schools which provide education to learning disabled children. He is presently on the Board of Directors of Brainstorm Cell Therapeutics, Inc., a publicly traded corporation performing stem cell research in the field of Parkinson's Disease.
