About This Course
PFA’s were developed in the 1950’s for use as waterproofing materials, fire-suppression chemicals, non-stick coating, and other products. Technically known as Per and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances, these have now been found in both food and water supplies around the world and have been linked to a variety of cancers as well as non-cancerous illnesses.
This CLE course will explain these substances and the new federal and state regulations that have been enacted. The course will review the environmental and personal injury litigation that has proliferated and will briefly touch upon the regulatory environment of the substances.
