Accreditation and CLE Rules for Rhode Island
United Institute for Continuing Legal Education offers CLE courses accredited in many states throughout the country. While we do not directly accredit our courses in Rhode Island, our courses qualify for Rhode Island credit approval pursuant to the rules of the Rhode Island MCLE Commission. RI attorneys must self-apply for course approval of United CLE courses. Credits may be submitted through the Rhode Island Supreme Court Attorney Portal at https://rhodeisland.tylerhost.net/TylerFamis/UserAccount/Login/.
Rhode Island attorneys must take 10 credits per CLE cycle including 2 credits of Ethics. RI attorneys may earn up to 6 CLE credit hours from United Institute for Continuing Legal Education, including 2 credit hours of Ethics. Attorneys may complete CLE credits with us using our Online & iOS/Android App formats.
Distance Learning credits taken in excess of 6 hours may not be carried forward from one cycle to the next.
