About This Course
With incidents of sexual harassment and racial discrimination on the rise, there is a great deal of misunderstanding and misinformation. This CLE course will clarify many misconceptions about the legal aspects of these issues and offer important information about the legal responsibilities of workplace practices.
The course is meant as a primer for new attorneys as well as for those without a lot of experience in employment law. The course will cover basic protections against discrimination covered by Title VII, as well as its amendments, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and prohibitions against various forms of harassment, especially sexual harassment.
The course will review hostile environment and other forms of harassment including quid pro quo. The issue of reasonable accommodation, in particular regarding religion and disability, will be discussed.
