The course will review the wide variety of claims made over the years in the drive to reclassify cannabis as well the somewhat confusing judicial decisions in recent years. The course will also present possible future litigation issues. The course will conclude with a Q & A.

    David Holland

    David C. Holland, Esq., has more than two decades of experience litigating complex civil and criminal matters including R.I.C.O. cases and cannabis related matters. He has also obtained significant results on behalf of clients in the areas of civil rights, employment discrimination, and housing related matters and has worked in and experienced the criminal justice system from every angle. David is the Executive and Legal Director of Empire State NORML, the New York State affiliate of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) and served as Counsel to High Times Magazine for more than 10 years. David is also a sought after Canna-Business legal advisor to private equity investors, news media resource, and requested to participate in many multi-disciplinary legal lectures regarding cannabis. He is a member of the New York Cannabis Bar Association and has participated in several challenges to marijuana’s Schedule I designation under the federal Controlled Substances Act.
