About This Course

The rise of union organizing and strikes across industries is occurring against a backdrop of changes in recent decisions of the National Labor Relations Board as well as an evolution in the workplace. While federal laws have remained stagnant, there is no question that traditional union activity is changing.

This CLE course will examine the basic provisions of the National Labor Relations Act as well as its amendments which relate to labor strikes, boycotts, picketing and other protest-related activities which occur both in union and non-union workplaces. The course will offer insight into the scope of the protected rights of workers as well as the restrictions guiding employer response when there’s a labor conflict.
