    One of the most important elements of any jury trial starts well before opening statements. Jury selection can make or break a trial and to get the jury you want, preparation is key. This CLE course will explain how to prepare for jury selection, what to look for in potential jurors, research, and how to question them. The course will also explain strategies for appealing to the jury, even when that jury is not the one you would have wanted. Ethical consideration in dealing with jurors as well as case preparation and tips for dealing with judges, will also be discussed.

    Edward Anthony

    Edward J. Anthony, Esq. began trying cases in April 1983 in the Bronx Tort Division of NYC Law Department where he rose to the rank of deputy borough chief. In September 1989, Ed began working as a senior trial associate for a law firm. His first plaintiff's verdict awarded was in excess of one millions dollars, a sum that was upheld by the appellate division. In 1993 Ed won a huge lead paint verdict in a case called Hancock V. 330 Hull. At the time it was the second largest single lead poisoning case in the country. In 1997 Ed started his own practice. He handles police misconduct, labor law, medical malpractice, severe injury traffic accident cases, defective product matters and lead paint cases.
