Teri Michelle Jones, Esq.
Teri Michelle Jones, Esq., recently rejoined LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc.’s Underwriting Department as Underwriting Counsel for Florida’s Agency Services after a brief departure into private practice focusing on real estate and probate law. Prior to joining LandAmerica, Ms. Jones was Corporate Counsel and Principal with a building and development company and has previous experience in private practice. She graduated with honors from the Florida Coastal School of Law and served as manuscript editor for their law journal. Ms. Jones received a certificate in comparative law for coursework completed at Magdalen College in Oxford, United Kingdom. She received a B.A. degree in business management and French from Virginia Wesleyan College. Ms. Jones has published several articles on admiralty law. She is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker with the Commonwealth of Virginia. Ms. Jones is currently a member of The Florida Bar.
Jerry Morris
Jerry Morris is Vice President and Senior Underwriter for LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc. Mr. Morris has been in the title industry since 1970. He joined LandAmerica (and its subsidiary companies) in 1985, as county manager. Mr. Morris also served as the Company’s quality control auditor and since 1996, as Underwriter. He holds a certified land searcher designation from the Florida Land Title Association. Mr. Morris has served as Zone Vice President for the Florida Land Title Association. He is a certified title insurance instructor for the Florida Department of Financial Services and has conducted numerous seminars and training sessions for employees and agents of LandAmerica. Mr. Morris has authored numerous articles on various title insurance issues.
Christina F. Taylor, Esq.
Christina F. Taylor, Esq., is the Florida Director of Training and Publications for LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc., holding company for Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company and TransNation Title Insurance Company. In this role, Ms. Taylor oversees all aspects of agent training, including research, development, coordination and presentation of numerous seminars throughout the state. She has been with LandAmerica since 2000, serving as Underwriting Counsel and working with customers and agents to provide underwriting support as well as to resolve issues associated with commercial and residential real estate closings. Ms. Taylor also served as Vice President for LandAmerica Exchange Company in facilitating tax-deferred exchanges under Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code. Prior to joining LandAmerica, she practiced real estate law with a prominent law firm in Orlando. Ms. Taylor was an honors graduate of the University of Florida College of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach with a B.S. degree in business administration and music. She is currently a member of The Florida Bar.
