About This Course
This CLE examines the key stages of the patent lifecycle and the legal issues practitioners should understand when advising clients on patent rights. The course covers the development of an invention, patent application preparation and prosecution, and the process of obtaining and protecting an issued patent. It also addresses infringement and enforcement, patent litigation, post-grant review and other challenges to issued patents, as well as licensing and other strategies for commercializing patent rights.
The course provides practitioners with a practical framework for evaluating patent rights and advising clients on protection, enforcement, and commercialization.
