About This Course
This CLE course examines how effective corporate compliance programs can help organizations identify and prevent legal and regulatory risks, respond to potential violations, and protect corporate reputation and shareholder value. Using real-world Department of Justice cases, including the landmark Walmart Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) matter, the program explores the role of compliance in corporate decision-making and risk management.
Participants will learn how to identify regulatory risks and warning signs, establish effective risk prevention practices, implement practical mitigation strategies, and respond appropriately when potential misconduct is identified or a significant risk emerges. The course will also address how organizations can integrate compliance into day-to-day business operations to reduce exposure to regulatory enforcement, fines, and penalties while supporting long-term business objectives.
