About This Course
Eating, sexual activity, and exercise are typically part of a healthy lifestyle—but when these behaviors become excessive, difficult to control, or disruptive, they may indicate compulsive or addictive patterns. In the high-pressure environment of legal practice, these issues can develop quietly and carry significant professional consequences.
This CLE program examines how behavioral addictions related to food, sex, and exercise can affect attorneys, including their impact on judgment, client representation, workplace conduct, and overall well-being. The course will also address the prevalence of impairment in the legal profession and the barriers that often prevent lawyers from seeking assistance.
Attendees will learn to recognize early warning signs, understand the ethical and professional risks associated with impairment, and identify available resources and strategies to support early intervention and promote a healthier, more sustainable practice.
