About This Course
Cannabis law generally brings to mind regulatory, transactional and possibly even litigation and M&A. However the most challenging aspect of cannabis law is actually real estate, as all cannabis businesses are tied to a piece of land and are thereby dictated by state and local regulations which guide eligibility.
With local land use, real estate transactions and complex leaseback agreements combined with the intricacy of landlord/tenant issues, municipal land use attorneys, real estate attorneys and local government policy specialists are at an increased demand. This CLE course will examine the increased welcome cannabis tenants are experiencing by traditional property owners, strip malls, developers and REIT’s which translated into real estate attorneys needing to be informed and fast.
The course will offer a primer on the types of representations, problems and solutions that attorneys need to know about to assist clients and property owners in their transactions.
