Lecturer Bio
Jennifer Blood, Esq.
Jennifer (Jenny) Blood joined Sandberg Phoenix in 2024 and is a member of the Health Law Practice Group.
Jenny offers a trifecta of expertise from a unique perspective: 1) she is experienced defending medical providers in various capacities and specialties; 2) she has personal experience as an entrepreneur and understands businesses’ bottom lines, which allows her to develop a plan congruous to individualized needs; and 3) she is a heavy hitting negotiator with extensive experience in trial advocacy.
Now with years of experience as a defense attorney, Jenny weaponizes the skills she acquired during her fifteen years with plaintiff’s litigation to anticipate and thwart plaintiffs’ strategies. Using her extensive repertoire, Jenny seeks early dismissal of cases when the option is viable. Jenny’s negotiating power is strengthened and fortified by her reputation as a trial attorney and fierce advocate. She keeps her skills honed by teaching trial advocacy at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where she has taught for fourteen years, and her opponents recognize that she is prepared to zealously defend complex litigation and high exposure jury trials. She has defended healthcare matters from board complaints and lawsuits against individuals to class action litigation and compliance issues; she finds solutions to complicated problems.
In addition to individuals, Jenny’s clients include insurance companies, government organizations and private businesses. As a former business owner, she understands the importance of reporting updates. Jenny keeps her clients abreast of major developments; she shares challenges a case may face with her clients, along with her plans and solution-oriented proposals.
Jenny has developed a niche in correctional medicine and is skilled in hospital defense. She supervises cases in areas other than healthcare, including but not limited to business law, personal injury defense, real estate, family law, intellectual property law, estate planning and consumer protection laws within the auto industry. She holds licenses in Missouri and Illinois and has practiced in state and federal court.
When she is not practicing law, you can find Jenny walking her Great Dane, waving the giant flag behind the goal at City soccer games, teaching other lawyers with Continuing Legal Education courses, presenting at national conferences, or volunteering for programs such as Little Patriots Embraced and Message ‘n a Meal.
