About This Course

Title One of the Americans with Disabilities Act imposes certain requirements on employers. This comprehensive CLE course will explain in detail how discrimination is defined, as well as the conditions requiring accommodation, and the types of accommodations a business is and is not obligated to provide.

The process for providing accommodations as well as businesses and situations that invalidate the requirements will be discussed. Tips and strategies to manage the requirements of Title I of the ADA will be presented.

Lecturer Bio

Joshua H. Sheskin, Esq.

Joshua H. Sheskin, Esq. is a partner and trial counsel at the law firm of Lubell Rosen, LLC., in Ft. Lauderdale. Mr. Sheskin’s practice focuses on employment, ADA, and complex business litigation with an emphasis on representing and defending local businesses, along with assisting them in preventing future potential lawsuits. A South Florida native, Mr. Sheskin attended the University of Miami for his Masters’ Degree, and the University of Miami School of Law, where he received his law degree with honors. Mr. Sheskin, his wife Nilsa, and their two daughters, now reside in Pittsburgh, but Mr. Sheskin travels and still has his practice in South Florida, and cases all over the country.

Mr. Sheskin has appeared as counsel on hundreds of FLSA and ADA cases, as well as other types of Federal and State cases. He has significant trial and pretrial experience in Federal Court. In addition to extensive representation related to employment, Mr. Sheskin has appeared as counsel in ADA cases in three states. Mr. Sheskin is a successful appellate attorney, with wins in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Florida Supreme Court. He is admitted in the United States Court of Appeals for The Eleventh Circuit, United States Court for the Southern District of Florida, The United States Court for the Middle District of Florida, The United States Court for the Northern District of Florida, The United States Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, The United States Court for the Western District of Texas, and The United States Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Mr. Sheskin also takes on additional work from those attorneys who need help with their Federal Cases.
