About This Course
Fraud, waste, and abuse are commonly viewed as the defining focus of Inspector General investigations and oversight activities. While those responsibilities remain central to the IG mission, this CLE program shifts the conversation toward a broader and equally important objective: strengthening organizational ethics and cultivating a culture of integrity.
This course examines how Inspectors General contribute not only through audits and investigations, but also by encouraging ethical leadership, accountability, and responsible governance within organizations. Attendees will explore the connection between ethical workplace culture and effective compliance efforts, as well as the role oversight professionals play in identifying systemic risks before they develop into larger problems.
Designed for attorneys, the program will provide practical insight into the ways ethical standards, transparency, and internal controls support organizational effectiveness and public trust. Real-world examples and oversight perspectives will be used to illustrate how proactive ethics initiatives can complement traditional enforcement functions.
