About This Course
This CLE program addresses the growing legal and ethical tensions surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the modern legal profession. As courts, regulators, and litigants increasingly scrutinize DEI-related policies and programs, attorneys and law firms face new questions regarding compliance, risk management, and professional responsibility.
The course will examine the expanding legal challenges affecting DEI efforts across a range of settings, including hiring and recruitment practices, attorney development programs, affinity initiatives, scholarship opportunities, workplace culture policies, and client engagement strategies. The program will also explore the role implicit bias continues to play in legal decision-making, workplace dynamics, and organizational structures, even as institutions reevaluate how DEI programs are designed and implemented.
Attendees will receive a practical overview of the current legal landscape, including recent litigation trends, regulatory developments, and emerging areas of exposure. The program will further provide guidance on how legal organizations can assess and structure DEI-related initiatives while balancing business objectives, ethical obligations, and evolving legal standards.
