About This Course
This CLE session examines the legal and regulatory framework governing foreign (offshore) corporate trustees, with particular emphasis on trustee governance, fiduciary obligations, and regulatory supervision in established offshore jurisdictions. The program explores how corporate trustees are authorized and regulated, the compliance standards that shape trustee discretion and administration, and the oversight tools used by regulators to address breaches and misconduct.
Attendees will develop a practical understanding of how offshore corporate trustees function in day-to-day trust administration and how regulatory regimes impact trustee liability, risk allocation, and cross-border trust structures.
