About This Course
This CLE program focuses on building an effective intake process as the foundation of a successful consumer bankruptcy case. A careful and comprehensive intake not only supports an efficient Chapter 7 filing, but also positions counsel to identify issues early, avoid common pitfalls, and maximize the relief available to the client. The course addresses how intake decisions directly affect eligibility, case strategy, and the likelihood of a clean discharge.
Geared to both newer practitioners and attorneys who handle consumer bankruptcy on a periodic basis, the presentation reviews core consumer bankruptcy concepts while emphasizing practical considerations that are often overlooked. Participants will learn what information must be gathered at the outset, how to spot red flags and opportunities for additional relief, and how a disciplined intake approach can improve outcomes for both clients and counsel.
