Frequently Asked Questions

United Institute for Continuing Legal Education is a provider of accredited CLE courses throughout the country.

Mississippi attorneys are required to take 12 credit hours every year including 1 credit hour of Ethics.

Mississippi attorneys can complete up to 6 CLE credits with the National Academy of Continuing Legal Education using our Online & iOS/Android App distance learning courses.

Mississippi attorneys must complete their continuing legal education requirements by July 31st every year. The reporting deadline is August 15th.

Attorneys may carry over 12 credits into the next reporting period. Ethics credits can be carried forward as general credits.

*COVID-19 Update for 2022 and 2023: Due to the continued issues concerning Covid-19, the Mississippi Supreme Court has ordered that the limit on CLE credit earned though online programs has been temporarily removed. For the 2022 and 2023 CLE reporting years, attorneys may complete their CLE obligations through online, webinars or live, in-person programs. Therefore MS attorneys can now satisfy their entire requirement with our Online & iOS/Android App courses for 2022 and 2023! MS Supreme Court Order
