About This Course
Artificial intelligence and cybersecurity have moved from emerging issues to core risk areas for law firms and their clients. Generative AI, in particular, is reshaping how legal work is performed, from research and drafting to data analysis and decision-making. Yet the rapid adoption of these tools has outpaced many organizations’ ability to manage the attendant risks.
This CLE program provides attorneys with a practical examination of GenAI and cybersecurity from a legal and professional responsibility perspective. The course will address how GenAI systems operate, where they can add value in legal practice, and where they create exposure— including risks related to confidentiality, data security, accuracy, regulatory compliance, and professional liability. Participants will also be introduced to a risk management framework designed to help lawyers assess AI tools, establish guardrails for their use, and integrate cybersecurity and AI governance into their broader compliance and ethical obligations.
