Accreditation and CLE Rules for Virgin Islands
United Institute for Continuing Legal Education offers CLE courses accredited in many states throughout the country. Attorneys licensed in the Virgin Islands may earn 20 credit hours with us using our Online & iOS/Android App formats.
VI Attorneys must complete 24 CLE credit hours every 2 years, including 4 hours of ethics, 2 hours of technology programming, 1 hour of mental health and substance use programming, and 4 hours in VI law programming. The reporting cycle is from January 1st through December 31st and each member must certify compliance by January 31st. Attorneys may carry over a maximum of 6 CLE credit hours to a subsequent compliance period. Rule 208 establishes a self-reporting system. Members are responsible for uploading their CLE credits to the website at www.vibar.org/login.aspx.
